Frontier Materials Concrete applies a fuel surcharge on a per yard basis of ready mix concrete in the following manner:
The price of fuel is indexed for the Gulf Coast Region as published by the Department of Energy on their website which is linked below.
This site reports the average weekly retail price of diesel fuel by region on each Monday.
The base price of fuel is $3.00 per gallon. For each incremental change of twenty five cents from the base price of $3.00, the fuel surcharge will be adjusted by seventy five cents, up or down, for each cubic yard of concrete purchased. The surcharge will be calculated on a weekly basis and be applied to any concrete purchased within the calendar week. If the price of fuel increases or decreases, the fuel surcharge will be applied accordingly and either increase or decrease the surcharge per cubic yard.
