Frontier Materials Quality Control Department is staffed by some of the most experienced and knowledgeable in Houston. Jim Alloway has been making concrete around here for over 30 years, and Hank Hernandez has been analyzing materials for approximately 5 years. Having successfully completed American Concrete Institute training and certifications, these guys really know concrete. Daily testing of incoming raw material allows Jim the opportunity to constantly fine-tune our mix designs for optimal effectiveness, strength, and durability. When called on, Jim can design a concrete mix to fit the most demanding specification while Hank tests the material to make sure we are supplying your needs.
We take our products very serious. Jim also works with the latest technology to take advantage of the best available products to use for our customers. Recent innovations which Jim and Hank perfected for Frontier’s customers include the use of Hot Water. In designing the Winterset I and Winterset II mixes Jim and Hank allow the customers to achieve earlier set times without corrosive chemicals.
